Care Guide
✨ Light:
Prefers full sun to very bright light (at least 6 hours of direct sunlight or strong grow lights indoors).
💧 Water:
Keep soil constantly moist—never let it dry out.
Use distilled water, rainwater, or reverse-osmosis water only (tap water usually contains minerals that can harm the plant).
🌱 Soil:
Needs a nutrient-poor mix like sphagnum moss + perlite or a premade carnivorous plant soil.
Avoid regular potting soil or fertilizer (too rich for them).
🌡️ Temperature & Humidity:
Likes warm temps (70–85°F) during growing season.
Prefers moderate to high humidity, but can adapt if watered well.
🌸 Feeding:
No fertilizer needed.
Outdoors, it will catch its own insects.
Indoors, you can occasionally drop a small bug into a pitcher (but not necessary if it gets natural prey).
🍂 Dormancy (Winter Care):
Pitcher plants need a winter dormancy period (3–4 months of cooler temps ~40–50°F).
Growth slows and old pitchers may die back—this is normal. Reduce watering slightly but keep soil damp.
